Persephone is still at her desk, trying to figure out the Pomegranate program. Meg, one of the Furies, pass by and greets her a Happy Birthday. She tells her not to stay out too late before she leaves.
Persephone looks around. Everyone seems to be leaving for the day. She picks up her bag of coins and sneaks into the Acheron, past the Rental Lady. Cerberus tries to stop her, but she tells him that she needs to do this and that she won’t be long.
“You are an enigma. How can you be so open, but hold so many secrets?”
Hades
Persephone walks on the shores and tries to start handing coins to the stranded shades. Other shades start to look at her, and she starts to get flocked by a lot of shades asking for coins. She runs out of coins and a large number of shades chased her. She tries to flee, but as she flies away, a shade grabs her garment and pulls her to the ground.
Persephone tries to work her magic on the ground.
Hades suddenly appears with a hand on her shoulder, telling her it’s okay, he’s got her.
Back in Hades’ office, Hades is on the phone, delegating for someone to sort through the commotion at the beach. Persephone is seated with a radiator by her feet.
Hades tends to the bruise on her cheek, and asks her why was she at the beach and why was she still in the office. At first, Persephone hesitates to answer his question, knowing he won’t approve. But Hades tells her the least she could do was tell him, after what happened.
When Persephone explains her reason, Hades isn’t pleased. He goes out the window, flickering an unsmoked cigarette. Persephone chases after him as they argue about Hades’ rules in place.
“Because I want you!”
Hades
Persephone asks him what does it matter what she thinks, he’s a King. Hades cries in frustration that he wants her, and they kiss.
Their kiss deepens, and Persephone dissolves into an army of butterflies.
