Minthe snaps and once again berates Hades. She brings up Hades’ worst moments, from his drinking, sulking, constant begging, and infertility. She also brought up how Hades was planning on proposing to her and how he changed his mind “the minute [you] he saw another pretty face.”
Persephone overhears the conversation and interrupts when Minthe mentioned that she was the one who reported Demeter to Zeus. She says Minthe is the reason their lives are currently in tatters.
Persephone implores her to stop talking.
“It’s too late for sorry.”

In Hades’ office, Minthe tries to seduce Hades again by bringing up their “steamy history.” However, Hades has a different conversation. in mind. He tells her that he doesn’t think they should work in close proximity anymore, and then offers her another position with better work benefits.
Minthe tries to run, but Persephone chases after her. Hades trails after them.
She corners Minthe, and just as Minthe apologizes, Persephone tells her “it’s too late for sorry.”
Hades wraps his arms around Persephone telling her to wait, but it was too late. Minthe has been cursed into a plant.

According to Rachel, Persephone’s outfit was inspired by a poisonous mushroom with the name, “destroying angel.”
Minthe’s demise as a mint plant has different variations in mythology. In some versions, it’s Persephone who curses her after she brags about being “more beautiful” than the Queen of the Underworld. In other versions, Demeter is the one who curses her into a plant.
The “evil eye” is seen on Minthe’s planter. In many different cultures, the evil eye is said to be a bad omen. Daphne has a similar eye as her profile pic in her Instagram profile.
