How long have you done art? What mediums have you tried?

I’ve been doing art my whole life, but I just got into digital art in early August. For the majority of my life I strictly used colored pencils before switching to watercolor and watercolor markers for a couple years.

How would you describe your style?

I try hard to give my work a unique look, and I try to make it as eye catching as possible with very saturated colors, clean line work, diversity, high contrast, and ✨ s p a r k l e s ✨

Tell us your Lore Olympus story.

I first started reading in early November of 2019. I kept up with the series, but wasn’t very invested as I entered at a pretty stagnant stage in the story. I still kept up with it and became gradually more invested until May when it went on hiatus. By the time it came back, I was hooked. I think my favorite part is the characters. Everyone is very 3-dimensional, with their own goals, thoughts, and feelings. I love the two main characters so much and I just want them to be happy.

Which Lore Olympus fan art are you most proud of and why?

Probably my piece of the 6 rulers of the 3 realms. While far from perfect, the project was a huge undertaking and took several hours to complete. I drew characters I’ve never drawn before, worked 6 full body people into one picture, and designed 3 individual dresses.

If you could body snatch one LO character for a day, who would it be?

Probably one of Hades’ dogs. They really do be living the life.

Do you have any goals or aspirations for your fan art?

While art is my passion in life and I’d like to pursue it as a continued hobby and possible side career, I have little interest in making it my lifelong endeavor. I feel if someone dictated what I got to draw and how, I’d become resentful and stop enjoying it.

Any advice for someone looking to build their art skills?

Don’t set insanely high expectations for yourself. You’re never gonna jump out of the gate with complete mastery of something. You’re going to fail, but you’re also going to learn and get better. Don’t compare yourself to others, especially professionals. We all start at the same place. It’s all in how hard you work to better your skills. Once you think you’ve mastered something, move on to something new.

Just for fun: Who did you get on our Hades' dog character quiz?

Pomelia, and probably, I’m small and just loaf around most of the time.
