How long have you done art? What mediums have you tried?

My whole life has always revolved around art now that I think back on it. I often got in trouble when I was little for messing with paints and what not! But I really got serious about it when i was about 14.

Art became a very safe space for me in such a bad time.

How would you describe your style?

I believe my style is incredibly versatile! I really am trying to get down a certain style but it’s always changing as I continue to make more art. I think my range is what sets me apart from the rest. I am very good at putting memory to paper, which I'm thankful for. It makes my art easier.

Tell us your Lore Olympus story.

Oh gosh, this story is a bit depressing so i’ll lighten it a bit! I was going through a very, very rough patch with someone and just life in general. I truly believe I found the story in a time where I was going through the same things as Persephone, and it just clicked like that! I’ve told everyone I know that it’s very hard to bring a story together that contains triggering topics, but the amount of emotion and way it’s been handled makes me feel powerful and that I too should be strong. Being a victim is one of the hardest things to go through, and we can even see that between both Hades and Persephone. They are constantly battling themselves just trying to find some kind of peace. Rachel has inspired and honestly saved me from doing anything stupid. The lack of knowledge on abuse and sexual assault victims disgusts me, but the fact that Rachel was able to put it in this story and not make it an uncomfortable topic is the reason I’ve stayed.

How has the fandom received your work?

This fandom is probably one of the nicest I’ve ever encountered. The people I’ve met changed my life forever. I will be forever grateful for each and every person who shows my account love. But like every fandom, there are a few bad apples. I often get the DM asking to draw hadesxzeusxposeidon together and that’s always a bit scary. Or I will draw blood red and not yellow and suddenly everyone is a mythology pro! I always try to send a message with my work. I’m a very emotional person and heavily include it in my art. I just hope someone takes something from it!

Which Lore Olympus fan art are you most proud of and why?

It would probably have to be a picture of Hades I drew where his brother Zeus has his hand on his crown, giving him off to the underworld. This piece was kind of stressful. I was going through a really bad time and just needed somewhere to vent it out. I love to think how close the Lore Olympus Hades is to the “actual” Hades, and a certain sadness always flows through summer as he misses Persephone. Hades has always been a comfort character of mine, and showing that side of him is very special to me. I think the piece manages to show that you were put here for a reason.

No matter who brings you down you are even more powerful than you know!

If you could body snatch one LO character for a day, who would it be?

Ooooo definitely Persephone. I would love to spend a day with her picking flowers and drinking tea. I know she has so many stories she would love to share as well!

Do you have any goals or aspirations for your fan art?

I want to make even more people happy with my stuff. If i can continue to get those “thank you for a laugh today” comments, that’s all i need!

Any advice for someone looking to build their art skills?

SHAPES!!!!!!

I’ve told everyone I know and you could ask them all. I always recommend shapes! But really, the beautiful thing about art is that it’s what you make it. Art is not one specific thing. Make it YOURS and be free with it. I always suggest recording as you draw too, having something to observe how you do things can help you a lot in the long run.

Just for fun: Who did you get on our Hades' dog character quiz?

hehe, I got Cerberus!
