Jezzie lives in Monterrey, Mexico with her partner and beautiful boy. In her spare time, she likes to draw, cosplay, do crazy things, and make people happy.
How long have you been doing cosplay?
I have been doing cosplay since I was nine years old, but it was not so frequently. I only dressed up during Halloween since where I’m from its not common to find people doing cosplays. I got interested because I’ve always loved costumes and makeup. I started dedicating more to my cosplay work since the quarantine started. I had to stay in the house, and cosplay become my hobby and I loved it. I always try to give you all the best makeup & cosplay quality.
Who is your favorite Lore Olympus character to cosplay?
I would definitely have to say Ares is my favorite. I just love the way he is. Even if he has an explosive personality and a twisted sense of humor, he also has a sweet and funny side.
Tell us your Lore Olympus story.
The thing I love about Lore Olympus is not just the story and illustrations. What makes the fandom unique is that thanks to it I met incredibly beautiful people that are now a very important part of my life like Aza (azafu_cosplay) , Fer (crosspottato), Yori (yoria_lestat), Gina (ginalvs) and Larbi (larbillacosplay). Each one of them has done beautiful LO cosplays and each has input their unique touch into their work, which is why I can’t avoid thinking of them every time I read Lore Olympus.
What is the most memorable cosplay?
I have to say Venom.
I encouraged myself to do this cosplay because he is my favorite Marvel anti-hero. It was extremely hard to do it because I had one eye shut and got a little frustrated. It was six straight hours of makeup but I would definitely would do it again.
What other fandoms are you in?
I’m a big Disney fan as well as member of various anime/manga fandoms, but the Lore Olympus fandom is very special. Everyone is so supportive of each other and so creative with all the amazing things they make everyday.
If you could body snatch one LO character for a day, who would it be?
Persephone. I think It will be extremely fun and very exciting spending a day being her.
What does cosplay mean to you?
Cosplay includes two things that I love: makeup and acting. I feel that you can get your emotions out and exploit your creativity when doing cosplays. For me cosplay is something that I found relaxing.
Any advice for a new cosplayer out there?
Start with something simple that you like. You can start thinking in things that you may already have at home and do it. No matter the result just be yourself and remember that next time you can always improve your work.
