Content warning: strong themes of domestic abuse
Minthe stomps into Underworld Corp, clearly in a bad disposition. She’s wearing an outfit provided to her by Thetis and the receptionists comment on her attitude as she walks by. They don’t seem surprised that she’s angry and assume it’s going to be one of “those days”. Minthe starts to blame Hades for expecting too much from her, essentially placing the blame on Hades for what has happened the night before.
She searches his calendar on his computer and goes to find him on his way back from his appointment with the Fates.
Hades appears deep in thought in the hallway when Minthe approaches him. He’s initially about to comment on her appearance, but the way she interrupts him is so angry he reevaluates the situation. He sees that the hallway is empty and his inner child appears, revealing how he is afraid of her when she’s in this emotional state.
Hades is clearly nervous as he asks Minthe what happened the night before, but she’s too irate and refuses to accept any responsibility. He makes the mistake of offering up criticism in Minthe’s friendship with Thetis. Minthe responds by physically attacking him and verbally striking at his insecurities, particularly about Hades resembling his father, his own abuser. Hades is deeply affected by this and allows her to say these terrible things. Before she can continue or slap him again, Hecate stops her.
